baby bump already?! or perhaps...just gas

So I am in the middle of my 8th week. The nausea has subsided a lot but still there. I don't dry heave anymore...instead I'm hungry but nothing really sounds appetizing. The only foods I really crave are subway veggie subs, ikea frozen yogurt and FRUIT! all I want to do is eat green grapes and oranges. Kary informed me last night that it appears my belly is no longer flat. A girl at work also said something to me today. REALLY?! only 8 weeks and people can tell?! but, I am pretty thin and my stomach was flat before so I guess something has to bloat a little to prepare for the little bobblehead. This week the "embryo" is now officially called a "fetus". Kary and I call it all kinds of weird names depending on what our tracker tells us about the size and development. Right now it probably looks like a sea monkey. We are so excited to hear the heartbeat in about 3 weeks!!!

1st prenatal appointment

Today I had my first prenatal appointment. I was very nervous but it ended up being no big deal. They tested my pee and confirmed me being officially pregnant...the test turned positive in about 3 seconds. The nurse said I must have lots of hormones~ which might explain my insane rage lately..haha. Lots of nurses said congratulations which was cool since I'm sure they deal with pregnant ladies all day. My next appointment is scheduled for March 19th..Kary and I will hear the heartbeat then...yay!!!

It's Offiical~ Due Oct. 4th!!! :-)

one spoiled piece of rice!

So we're heading into our 6th week and I am starting to find myself very queasy. I can barely eat anything and constantly on the verge of barfing...but hey, it's a small price to pay and it's nothing compared to what is about to come..haha.

Our fetus is now the size of a piece of rice and weighs maybe a tenth of a gram, however, this piece of rice has already acquired over 14 articles of clothing. Kary and I have never been known to hold back (with anything) and his mom holds back even less (hehe). It's still so early but we can't help but buy a onesie here and there. They are just so damn cute. My doctors appointment is on Feb. 16th, I still have a week and 2 days. Even though I'll just get my due date and an exam it will still feel great to see an actual doctor. It will make it feel more real. I sometimes forget I'm pregnant and then think, "holy shit! This is really happening!"
