Trick-Or-Treat

ready for some candy!

Kary and I have always loved Halloween. Since having London we really haven't done much though. This year we were super excited that he's at an age where he can understand trick-or-treating and dress up and eat candy.
We thought for a while what he should be and decided to bring him to a costume store to pick out a costume...BIG MISTAKE! He totally freaked out and hated every costume (even Thomas!) The sales lady pulled out all kinds of ideas and he yelled, "I don't like it!"
We were about to give up but decided to order a DJ Lance Rock costume and decided that maybe since it's just pants and a shirt he might be ok with wearing it. When it came in the mail we tried it on him and he FLIPPED out! He hated it and acted as if we were putting him in a straight jacket...there goes that idea we thought...

When actual Halloween came I decided to do a trial run with the costume before Kary got home...did not go well as you can see below.
However, once I convinced them both to still venture on to trick-or-treating (candy was my motivation) it turned out awesome! We drove to a neighborhood down the street with big houses and lots of decorations. Some were super scary and I had to go to the door alone. Walking up big hills a week away from my due date was tiring but so worth it. Most people cracked up when they saw his adorable costume and he stood there all serious and shy. He didn't say trick-or-treat or thanks until the people closed the door...haha. He keps saying, "trick or treating is fun....more doors??!" It turned out to be a great memory. It's crazy to think next year we will be trucking around 2 little ones :-)
